Filling us with a cosy sense of comfort, London-band Cup have shared their subtly jazz-flavoured debut single 'Chances'. Spearheaded by expressive guitarist and vocalist Daniel Burke, the meandering composition is enhanced by velvety-smooth vocals and left-field keys by Goat Girl's Ellie Rose-Davies. The close-knit group of friends and family's musical chemistry is evident on 'Chances', as they move effortlessly through precise shifts in mood and dynamics, pulling off a number of punctuating stop-starts with ease. Having been lucky enough to catch a couple of their first performances last year, we'll be keeping a close eye on Cup for more satisfyingly loungey tunes in the (hopefully) not too distant future. -Holly Mullineaux
